The Story So Far
Why we’re called Wizards
When computers first arrived on the scene, they genuinely felt like magic, and the people who could make them do useful things were called wizards. Our founder, Vince, was one of them. His first computer was a TRS-80 Model I, and a lifelong love of technology, sparked in his father’s electrical engineering workshop, grew alongside a love of the worlds where magic and imagination live: Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and Dungeons & Dragons.
Combining the two wasn’t a marketing decision. It’s who we are. Technology should feel like magic for you, not something intimidating you have to wrestle with.
My Tech Wizards was founded in 2009, but the real story goes back much further. Vince spent over 20 years as a Chief Information Officer, sitting in the executive seat where technology decisions actually get made, budgets, risk, strategy, and keeping an entire organization running. Along the way he did pioneering work most IT shops can’t claim: programming AI and expert systems for the DOD and HCFA long before “AI” was a household word, and helping create one of the first electronic medical records.
Today, we bring all of that experience directly to businesses like yours.
